Trevor Jerideau is a Grammy Award winning record executive with over 20+ years of experience in the record business and career contributions garnered over 30+ billion equivalent streams.
Early Career
His industry journey began with an internship at Arista Records while pursuing finance studies at Fordham University. Notably, he gained the attention of the legendary Clive Davis, who invited him to join the foundational team at J Records in the early 2000s. With his help, J Records ascended to prominence as an industry leader.
J Records Era
At J Records, Trevor was instrumental in building the label's Hip-Hop presence in the market. He played a key role in signing rap icon Busta Rhymes and A&R-ed the platinum-certified albums "Genesis" and "It Ain't Safe No More." These albums featured hit singles such as "Break Ya Neck" and the platinum-certified "I Know What You Want," in collaboration with Mariah Carey.
In addition, Trevor successfully negotiated and secured a label deal for Swizz Beatz. He worked in close collaboration with Peter Edge, CEO/Chairman of RCA, shaping the international success of Alicia Keys, whose albums sold over 20 million copies worldwide.
RCA Music Group Leadership
Elevated to Senior Vice President of A&R for RCA Music Group, Trevor led and mentored a diverse team, keeping pace with shifting industry trends. He signed Jazmine Sullivan, whose 2008 Platinum debut album "Fearless" secured seven Grammy nominations including Best New Artist. His most recent work on Sullivan's "Heaux Tales" earned him a 2021 NAACP Image Award for Outstanding Album and a Grammy for Producer, Best R&B Album.
Trevor has had the privilege of signing & collaborating with a wide range of artists, including Tinashe, Dido, Monica, Marsha Ambrosius, Mario, ASAP Rocky, Ferg, and Blood Orange. He is a longstanding member of The Recording Academy and received the 2016 Foundation for Ethnic Understanding's Young Leadership Award for his community-building contributions.
Current Work
After departing RCA in 2021, Trevor launched a consultancy and founded his own production and publishing company. Committed to artist empowerment, he is focused on mentoring junior-level executives and creating cohesive teams. Trevor continues to set standards in the industry, drawing upon his extensive music knowledge, tight network and experience to foster the next generation of music executives and breakthrough artists.
